CONNECTING THE OPERATION OF PROCESSING PLANTS WITH DISTRIBUTION CENTERS FOR THE ENTIRE REGION

The client, a multinational company founded in the United States, provides food, financial and industrial products, with more than a dozen centers that are supplied by robust operations in North America, Central America, Asia and Europe.

With the mission of feeding the world in a responsible manner, the Company continues to expand its operations centers. In the case of the Central American region, the new expansion of one of its poultry products processing plants will represent the processing and storage of 8 million pounds of product annually.

The problem:

To face the Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) for the next 10 to 15 years, the Company made the decision to invest in the expansion of two of its processing plants, as well as the construction of a new distribution center.

To ensure continuity and correct communication between the new facilities and those already in place, the Company needed to solve the problem of data transmission, by copper and fiber, in hostile and innocuous environments such as warehouses, production lines and cold rooms. In the same way, it was necessary to comply with adequate international standards to produce food for human consumption.

The solution:

The Company looked for a strategic ally that would solve this requirement and will accompany them in the growth of their investments with the quality required by their standards. TECNASA presented a comprehensive offer that exceeded the requirements of the company in quality and execution time.

The project included, in its initial phase, 250 voice and data points in production and cold areas, more than 1,600 meters of fiber along the expanded plant.

The complete scope of this project includes an accompaniment in the growth of new investments planned for the next years in new plants, warehouses and administrative offices.

The result:

The new processing plant has become a model for future investments in Central America, ensuring secure and reliable communications between the Company’s facilities, always ensured the Company’s operation.
